Admissions Arrangements for 2019/20

High School Open Morning / Evening

High School Open Evening - 16th October 2018

The school is a voluntary aided co-educational 11-18 school within the trusteeship of the Diocese of Westminster, it will eventually provide 1,050 places, including 750 places for children aged 11-16 and up to 300 sixth form places will be provided for young people aged 16-18. The admission number for Year 7 in the school is 150. 

The closing date for applications for places in September 2018 at St Richard Reynolds Catholic High School was 31st October 2017. Outcomes were advised on 1st March 2018. Children from all faiths and none are very welcome at the school but if the school is oversubscribed, priority is given to baptised Catholic children.

NB You must complete and return a Common Application Form (CAF) to your home local authority. Richmond residents may apply online from 1st September 2018

NB The deadline for submitting your Common Application Form (CAF) for Year 7 to your home local authority admissions department is 31st October 2018. Applications received after this date are considered only after the on time applications have been processed unless you have a compelling reason for missing the deadline. Supplementary Information Forms and Certificates of Catholic Practice (if applicable) should have been returned to the College no later than the week beginning 31st October 2018.

Note: The governing body may only determine the admissions arrangements on a year by year basis but it is the expectation that up to ten pupils who are awarded and accept an Open place in St RIchard Reynolds Catholic Primary School will be given top priority after looked after children should they apply for a place in Year 7 at St Richard Reynolds Catholic High School when they reach Year 6 in St Richard Reynolds Catholic Primary School. This does not form part of our current admissions arrangements.

High School Ofsted Report

PLEASE NOTE: St Richard Reynolds Catholic High School opened in September 2013 admitting up to 150 pupils. A further 150 pupils were admitted in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and 150 pupils will start in September 2018 and a further 150 in September 2019. The Sixth Form opens in September 2018. The school can not therefore offer places in Year 13 at this time.

If your child has not been offered a school place you ranked as a higher preference than SRRCC, they are placed automatically  on our waiting list. If you wish to verify that they are registered please email waitinglist@srrcc.org.uk with the following details:

1) Child's Name
2) Child's DOB
3) Child's Address
4) Contact number
5) Confirmation if previously applied

If and when places become available to offer to applicants on the waiting list, offers will be made in accordance with the College's over-subsciption criteria.

Please note that the College Office staff do not have visibility of the waiting list and are unable to give personal information regarding positions on the waiting list.

Should places become available, they will be allocated and offered according to the published over-subsciption criteria. Places may become available as families move from the area or choose another school. All children will remain on the waiting list for one year from date of application unless advised by parents / guardians.
